Plato K. T. Yip

Founder & Managing Partner, CT Green Capital

Plato K. T. Yip is the Founder and Managing Partner of CT Green Capital and the Founder of CT Green Group. He is an investment professional with over two decades of experience in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, fund management, and corporate strategy, with a focus on renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, and environmental technologies.

Mr. Yip has held senior leadership roles at international private equity firms, global corporations, and clean energy platforms, where he has been involved in cross border investments, large scale financings, and strategic acquisitions.

Prior to founding CT Green Capital, Mr. Yip served as Vice Chairman of Elion International Investment Co., Ltd., the overseas investment arm affiliated with Elion Resources Group, a China based ecological restoration and clean energy group. Earlier, he was Investment Director at Olympus Capital, responsible for environmental investments in China. His prior roles also include serving as Head of Strategy at CK Life Sciences and advisor to CK Group.

In addition to his investment activities, Mr. Yip participates in select public service roles. He currently serves on multiple HKSAR Government investment and finance related policy committees and is Chairman of Friends of the Earth (Hong Kong). He is also an Inaugural Catto Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of its Global Leadership Network.

Dr. Sherry Liu

Co-Founder & Managing Partner, CT Green Capital

Dr. Sherry Liu is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CT Green Capital, with extensive experience in corporate finance, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and private equity investment, particularly in technology, infrastructure, renewable energy, and energy storage.

She has previously served as a Responsible Officer (RO) for SFC Type 6 (Advising on Corporate Finance) and a Licensed Representative (LR) for SFC Type 1 (Dealing in Securities), bringing deep regulatory and capital markets expertise within Hong Kong’s financial system.

Early in her career, Dr. Liu supported Tsinghua Tongfang Group (600100.SH) in establishing its overseas investment platform and executed multiple major cross-border M&A transactions, including acquisitions of European assets and direct overseas investments. She later joined Yunfeng Financial Group (00376.HK) as a Responsible Officer, where she focused on private equity investments in technology and infrastructure, while overseeing and advising on corporate finance activities for listed companies.

In recent years, Dr. Liu has concentrated on the development and investment of overseas renewable energy and energy storage projects, having led investments in South Korea and Eastern Europe, and built strong international networks across the renewable energy value chain.

She holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from The University of Hong Kong, providing a rigorous interdisciplinary foundation in infrastructure planning, sustainability, and the built environment.

Larry Zhang, PhD.

Advisor

Larry has over 30 years’ extensive experience in global financial market and asset management industry and most recently he was CEO for Fosun Asset Management and CIO in Fosun Banking and Insurance Business Group. Prior joining Fosun, Larry hold position as a senior advisor for Vivo Capital, Chief investment officer for PingAn Asset Management. Previously he was head of the Public Equity Dept. at China Investment Corp. (CIC), Senior advisor for the National Council for Social Security Fund of China (NCSSF), Partner and Head of Global Equity for GSA Capital, Portfolio manager at Barclays Global Investors and senior analyst at Citibank.

Larry holds a Ph.D. in economics from State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is a member of academic committee for the National Research Center of Finance for Beijing University.

Maiyue Cheng

Advisor

Maiyue has 30+ years’ experience in the development and financing of international energy and infrastructure industry. Started in 1991 at the World Bank headquarters, he has held positions at leading companies in the energy and communication sectors, including Southern Company, CLP, AES, Qwest, and Cisco. He has also held senior roles at Kearney and the energy transition think tank RMI, contributing to strategic thinking and practices in the new energy industry.

Currently, he serves as strategic advisor in various climate technology enterprises such as Beijin Boya and AYK, while advancing energy transition-related business in the United States. Mr. Cheng graduated from Princeton University with a MPA degree in 1993.
